Would anyone know of I can swap in a 603 timing gear in place of the 606 timing gear so I can run. 603 vacuum pump? The 606 pump is slightly different a. Doesn't have the second nipple like the 603. I haven't looked to see what it's for other than on the 603 is to provide vacuum to the EGR stuff and one other thing.

do you use the push mower to offset the fuel costs of your projects?
I have a push mower, and a push edger... I don't use them though... that's what kids are for...

I actually use an electric weed eater. But the grass only grows crazy during the summer months

If you knew the size of Joe's front yard, you would understand. Joe, I'm guessing you live in the same place?

Awesome deals on the OM and the 722.6. I look forward to further updates.

If anything ever happens to the W210, I'm probably going to find a W210 Wagon donor chassis for a similar project.

Just run your vacuum needs off of the small nipple on the brake booster line. Simply add a reducer in there for the vacuum consumers normally fed by the small nipple on the pump. This is also the source for the injection shut-off circuit, so make sure that maintains full vacuum strength.

603 pump installed!

I hope I did it correctly. I lined the pump up to the gear (didn't have the timing basket in place because I do not feel like pulling my vac pump out of my 603 to get the tool and fight with the gasket) and put the center bolt in to pull it into its splines. Then I put the mounting bolts on and put it on loose. Then I used the turnbuckle to line up the hard lines and bolted the pump on then the hard lines.

I did lock the pump with the tool on the bench before installing.

Hopefully Tomorrow I can find some hose at the hose supply house to connect the oil cooler lines together so I can run it once I get the fuel lines. It's slowly but surely coming together.

I also need to get a new charger for my camera so I can use that instead of my iPhone.

Looks nice! What do you have to do to include the electronic idle control?

I can probably just plug it into my stock wiring harness and do that. But I am also going with a stand alone controller for the 722.6 and I believe it does idle control.

Also, paddle shifters are not happening. I'll stick with the faux sequential shifter
