OT: An ideal transplant vehicle!

this is likely the most rare Metro I've ever seen:

194X D15 Metro on Ebay!!

this is possibly a '41 or '40 or maybe even '39?!
it looks mostly complete ...
even rear wheel skirts
and bezels for the headlamps!
i've been looking 8 years for those bezels!

anyway ... please go look and join in the Metro mania
it is an ideal transplant candidate for a 617!
At least that is the story i'm telling myself!!!

cheers
geoff

That thing is too cool. One question, is that international flat head a front sump or would you have to modify the crossmember?

i hope you're able to make some good progress on your project. i'm looking forward to seeing it.

Yes, indeed. What ratio is the rear end?

My K1M has a 3.72:1
I don't know what that D15 has... the 3.72 is the tallest option for theses things ... I'm likely going to 'modernize' with a dana 44

yeah ... it is rear-sump.
i have not even come close to figuring out cross members or mounts ...
the green diamond was separated from the frame by two thin strips of asbestos ... really. they were too busy saving rubber for war efforts!

there are plenty of toyota junkies modifying pans ... so i may head in that direction if necessary ... but likely just do some box-welding to move the cross members around

i'm making slow/steady progress ...

cheers
geoff
