On the RIGHT are the Bosch France 240 nozzles that have been in my car for 68,000 miles (set at 2100 psi by me in 1998) and they have both a center and cross spray hole.

On the LEFT are the used 'Pik-N-Pull' set I put in, marked Bosch Germany 240, with both a center and a cross spray hole, but a less extended tip.

I have several sets and all have the rounded pintle and none show any evidence of damage, and/or burning.

In general if you replace old worn out Nozzles with the same New Nozzles with the proper opening/pop pressures; they will not be as noisy. But, the old Nozzles have to be worn out for that 2 be so.

People have said the Bosio Nozzles are slightly noisier that the others.

After that it is Monarks or the Stock Indian made Bosch Nozzles.
I have no experience with new Indian made Bosch Nozzles so I cannot comment on them concerning noise.

I have the Monark Nozzles in My Volvo and Mercedes I think it has been 4 years now and neither make any noise I consider louder than normal.

After that there is other European companies that make Nozzles. Few Members have experience with them.

Ok,

The Injektor Body on the LEFT (rounded pintle) bears KCA30S35/4

The Injektor Body on the RIGHT (straight pintle) bears KCA30SD27/4

Both are marked 135 bar

The Nozzle on the RIGHT is Marked Bosch FRANCE DN0SD240

The Nozzle on the LEFT is Marked Bosche GERMANY DN0SD240

However, the LEFT nozzle has a much smaller crossdrilled hole. The RIGHT nozzle has a much larger crossdrilled hole, but a smaller center hole, at only 0.15mm.

MBZ states that the pintle was changed in November 1981 to incorporate a larger 0.20mm center hole

I don't know about that. In the Manual after a certain date the increased the size of the Hole/s and added a "/" the end of the Number that is on the Nozzle.

My own guess is that the smaller sized passages were plugging with Carbon to easily so they increased the size of the passages.

Another guess is that you should have all small hole Nozzles or all large hole Nozzles on an Engine.

Complete injectors. Those who got their hands on them found the engine to be smoother and get around 2mpg more than single stage injectors. They did note a small power loss, however. I'll see if I can find the thread

Here you go: AAZ injectors...

Note the depression around the end of the injektor where the pintle exits. I have injektors with and wirhout this physical 'deformation' present that all sparyed properly.

Anomoly????

Due to the distances you travel do you think that Winshield Washer fluid Injection would be of more benefit mileage wise?
