Good tutorial Chad. I wonder if it works with older, brittle bumper strips. In my case, I struggled with this for awhile, and then one day just tore the entire rubber off in frustrations, fixed the inner strip first, making sure the hooks were positively engaged in the bumper, and the ends were hooked right too.

Then I sprayed a lot of silicone onto the bumper, and used a rubber mallet to hammer it all in. With the silicone, it went in like butter. And yes, do this in summertime when the everything just seems more pliable.

My rear cover had slipped off to the side by 4" or so
I pealed it off and then sprayed silicone lubricant on it and on the tabs. It slid back on without much effort. I started at one end and just threaded it back on.
