How To Remove Climate Control

Mercedes W124 300E center console disassembly how to - YouTube

That is, if you learned from watching most guys at Pick and Pull.

Seriously, last week there was a guy that showed up with a broom handle as his only tool. I'm not kidding. I watched him try to remove a blower motor....it was pathetic.

take 1:
Turns out when the only tool you have is a broom handle everything starts looking like a.......broom?

Take 2:
Don't show up at a knife fight with a broom handle.

oh, I don't know... a good 1" broom handle could be much more usefull than a pocket knife or a small blade... a sword of course would make short work of a broom... as would Crocodile Dundee's KNIFE... but in a standard knife fight... a good broom handle could hold it's own...

Hmm...
Take 1: I think everything would start looking like... dirt to keep the phrase in balance... (broom is to hammer as dirt is to nail... No?)

ahh, but it was broom HANDLE, not broom... so yeah, I guess everything would start looking like a broom...
nahh, I like dirt better... as in, any car that got taken apart with only a broom handle would be as useless as dirt to the next guy...

That makes me angry. I couldn't watch after the first few seconds I had to shut it off.

I try whenever I am at a PNP to treat the vehicle like it was my own because someone might want the piece that I am removing to get at what I want.

Top pet peeve is cut wires especially given how everything on these cars is connectorized.

No excuse for that behavior unless necessary to save human life, like after a wreck.

I'd like the parts he didn't screw up. Seats looked good. No excuse for that kind of stuff.

Yeah, that's the problem isn't it, they not only ruin the part they are trying to get but all the other parts around it. I would have liked the driver door panel and the center arm rest.

That is just plain ignorant.

It may be a car in a pickn'pull, but that doesn't make it your property to do with as you like.

Actually the local yard is almost as bad sometimes. Their best trick is when they sell the windshield off an otherwise cherry car, then leave the interior open to the elements (not funny at all around here).

One winter and everything is shot. Brilliant. For the cost of a small tarp and some bungees....
