Does anyone happen to know if the injectors and glow plugs from a 1990 350 sdl will work in a 300 SD engine (also W126)? What is the quickest way to answer this sort of question myself--it seems that there is probably some resource in this vast forum.

Also, just for my general education. What is that black box with the sealed aluminum tube sitting in the trunk behind the radio antenna?

Go to your favorite Internet parts seller. Look up the Glow Plugs and Injectors for Both. Write down the Part Numbers and compare them. If the part numbers are the same the parts are interchangeable.

What might mess that up is that at some point there was a swtch to From Injectors that Thread into the Prechamber Retaining Ring and Injectors that Thread into the top of the Prechamber itself but at an angle.

If that is the case you may have to look up your Engine Number to check on the proper Injectors.

I don't know what the Black Box is as I don't own a Car like yours.
