Batteries from MB, Walmart, Costco etc available in Canada are quite often made by a different company than from the same companies in USA.

To add to the confusion, companies like Johnson controls have bought up many other battery manufacturers. OPTIMA®, VARTA®, LTH® and Heliar® are from JC as are many private labels.

It's been a while since I researched this, but I seem to recall that even MBUSA and MBCanada batteries were from different suppliers.

Last time I needed a battery, it was for our E320. I just bought the Canadian Tire one that has a very long warranty. Forget exactly which one, but it was their best. I figured it would outlast the car!

Group 93 and Group 49 are not the same.

Group 93 is shorter at 6-7/8". Group 49 is 7-1/2" tall.

Group 49 will not fit the factory battery box in a 560SL.
