Taking a break . . .cars for sale.

Hi all,

It has been some time since I have been on the forum. Life has been so busy that I just haven't been able to keep up on here as I would like to. It's with a bit of sadness that I report that I have decided to take a break from MB diesels for a bit and, therefore, will be selling my cars. Things have gotten so busy with work and other projects that I just can't give them the time and attention that I want to. Plus, my wife won't drive the diesels and has been asking me to get something bigger that will fit all three kids (and someting she is willing to drive). So, the '79 240D and the '95 E300D are officially for sale. I will be posting more about them in the "Cars for Sale" section. I'll probably ask $2500 for the '79 and $3500 for the '95. Yes, they both have some flaws (they're old cars), but I'll tell you everything you need/want to know if you're interested. I will eventually get them posted on CL, but I thought I would start here first.

I hate to say goodbye to them because wrenching on these old cars has always been a hobby of mine, but I currently don't have the time to care for them like I want to. I will own old MB diesels again at some point . . . and next time a turbo! I will also visit the forum when I can to see what everyone is up to. Thanks to all of you who have added to my experience of being a diesel MB owner over the past six years. I wish you all the best!

Sorry to hear that! I used to live out in KC through the 90's and 00's so hello to a fellow midwesterner. Look forward to seeing more on the 79. I may be interested.

Hey Tank,

Could you tell me what your o-60 time is in your E300D? My car seems to be a real dog and wanted to compare apples to apples. Thanks again JIm
