Hi All

I have a 92 300D and was just wondering how my fuel mileage compares to others. The car has 152K Miles.. I use 15W 40 Rotella oil. It seems to run pretty good. Just did the intake cleaning as well.
As far as mileage right now I am getting a combined about 27MPG. Its usually about half highway and half city. I am giving it some decent warm up time... about 5 mins usually at least ona cold start. Performance is also doing well right now.
I do not scream away from lights but i also dont go suuper slow, just normal driving
How does this compare with others, any suggestions for improvement.

92 300D 2.5 TURBO

4 or 5 mpg improvement by installing a 5-speed. Sounds pretty normal right now for an automatic.

Sounds right. I have two of these. I routinely get 25-30 with mixed driving. With straight highway driving, I can get up into the 31-33 range.
