TheDon,
Is the meet still a go? Haven't heard anything. We have made our plans to be there is nothing goes wrong.

It's still a go. It might not be as a grand GTG as I had hoped but there will be a gtg

Would love to attend! I was in Oviedo a couple weeks ago, and I'll be back in May, so the timing won't work out. May be there permanently next year though.

at this point im pretty sure i can come.....i have more than enough WVO for the trip, its only 300 miles roundtrip, a nice day's drive in the 240, starting out in the early morning......will advise as the date gets closer.....

and i may bring some people from our local club.....this one guy, im sure he will go right away if i tell him, he's retired and has 5 diesel Benz's, in which he runs WVO as well......

I am planning on getting my OM606 to run at the gtg. I'm going to pick up some hose to connect the oil cooler lines and if I have time figure out a way to make the glow plugs warm up without the relay. Not sure if I will run it on the stand or just put it on the ground. But It's pretty much ready to start.

It's happening this Saturday 10am to whenever it feels like ending. the google map location is above so set your GPS to newmarket dr in windermere. I will put out balloons so you know where to turn off once on Reams Rd.

If you feel like bringing food, have at it. I will provide hotdogs, chips, and some drinks.

just found the post . . . will be heading through Florida on the 6th to go back to work. Might be able to drop by with my 2013 Peterbilt (yup - brand new), if I don't have to be across the state before morning. Am finally getting my benz under-carriage done next week, starting with driveline and mounts. Then I'll see about getting it to Pierre for the entire front end, while I'm out on the road. I take it that Don got a new hobby car?

well, as people tend to do, everyone that was going to go there has flagged out on me, even the guy with all the diesels would rather go drive to miami (which he always does) rather than go drive up there (i even offered him free WVO fuel for the trip)......my one friend was going to ride, he just cancelled because his grandma died and he is leaving for Illinios.....my neighbor, who wants to buy a diesel Benz, also had said he was going to ride, so i hope he comes along at least, so i dont have to be bored in the car for 5 hours.....i will know later on......

i dont have alot of money this weekend to bring stuff or else i'd bring some good Krombacher bier or something, but ill get something to bring snackwise, and if you want i could also "donate" a 5 gal. jug of 1 micron WVO to help make up the difference....

i just have to finish up a lady's car and then go filter some WVO and i'll be good to go first thing in the morning....

leaving by around 8, should be there 10:30-11:00.....i take the stateroad all the way to I-4, from right here in Fort Myers, so its a great drive through the countryside with no traffic, and starting about half way up there, since they obviously must have been thinking of the distant future at least 50 years from now, the road is 6 lanes like an interstate with no traffic and u can drive real fast...

maybe we can locate my oil leak, which started AFTER i fixed everything a few weeks ago, which i think i know where it is anyways.....maybe someone has a bolt there.....when i changed the waterpump, one of the bolts on the old one came out with oil on the thread, as if its in the crankcase.....for whatever reason, even though all the waterpump bolts are on it, this bolt may not have been for the pump at all (oh god not the tensioner), so that should be where the oils splashing so much out from......caus' its not any main seal or any other gasket, all check out......i would have located it already, but i cant find the bolt hole without getting the car up on stands, which i havent got around to, and i need a mirror to see.....of course mine's gone the first time i need it in over a year.....so maybe we can find a bolt to put in or at least verify that the bolthole is indeed the leak (has to be).....then i can put new AMSOIL in again, as i have been dumping walmart diesel oil in, caus im not going to waste my Series 3000 dripping onto the road.....then she will be 100% petroleum free vehicle again......right now she has petroleum motoroil again......everything else including the fuel is petroleum free though.......take that OPEC !!!

Cool, look forward to everyone that shows up. Stewart is spending the night at my place and hopefully I have enough food. It may not be as spectacular as my past GTG but I am doing what I can with what I've got.
