Battery cable

I'm trying to replace the + battery cable on my 190D. Problem is finding one. We have tried ********AG, AutoZone, JCWhitney, and several others. The ones they have available do not appear to be what is already in place, a 4 guage double wire off the positive terminal, (1) to the engine compartment and (1) to the junction box with the alternator and other wires.

those pieces are trivial to fabricate if you have washer terminals and a crimper. you might try a stereo/alarm shop that can whip them up for you on abespoke basis.

I would recomment just ordering raw 4 gauge cable, some crimp, set screw ends and making your own. Thats probably the best route to go.

I just installed an alternator on my 420SEL. I just some massive 0 gauge copper clad aluminum wire and some 0 gauge set screw ends. It worked out pretty well.

NAPA should have them. They're probably a backroom item, though; they are in my town.
