Oil Leak From IP - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Just bought a '83 240D and I'm trying to get it up to par.
I thought at first it was the oil filter housing that was leaking , but after cleaning and getting a good look, I can see that it's coming from the plate that covers the rear of the injection pump.
Anyone have an idea on the cure for this? Is there a gasket under it? Should I ever try to remove and reseal this plate?

Look at this procedure for replacing the gasket, (yours is easier than this one).

Thanks for the quick reply.
It does look like it's easy access to the aft side of my IP.
Can I get the gasket from PeachPart? I've ordered a few things, but only what's in the online catalog.

Yes you can special order it through Pelican, but if that is the only special order item the local MB dealer can get it next day (usually at the same cost).
