300SDL//Door Sills Removal

Any tips or tricks dealing with removing the door sills to access the wire channels? I know if I just try to figure it out I'll end up breaking one....or all.

Wanting to run new speaker wiring for speaker/head unit upgrade.

Thanks,

Lance-

They come straight up to come off. I use a large flat blade screw driver. Slide it under the sill at the front or rear from the outside of the car and just pop it up. Push down on the handle, not up.

Concur

I always start on the RIGHT end.....because I'm right handed and work my way toward the left. The very FIRST one, I had no idea how to remove and broke it. After that......no breakage. Even though it's 24+ years old plastic, I've (knock on wood) broken anymore.

They pop off. Just be careful not to scratch the paint. Use a plastic pryer if possible.

And perhaps warm a little with a heat gun carefully or blow dryer as the plastic can be a little brittle -
