w123 300tdt not starting, light in dash not going out.

euro 1980 w123 300turbodiesel not starting.
starter not turning, battery measured at 13,25volts.
when turning the key to the starting position nothing happens, but the regular lights in the dash are on. when turning the key back to the stop position and even removing the key, two lights are still on. the battery light and the one in the picture here. Anybody have any tips on what that is suppose to mean?
the mysterious light is the third one from the right.

Are your battery connections clean? also check the ground cable where it connects between the engine adaptor plate and the chassis. look down on the drivers side behind the oil filter housing and you will see it. acessed from under the car.

I had problems with the battery light staying on and the temp gauge doing weard things, and a couple other problems. removing the cable and cleaning of some paint on the adap plate cleared things up.

On my car the third light under the tach/clock is for the seat belts.

Try jumping terminals 1 and 3 in the junction box in front of the battery on top of the right inner fender liner.
