Hey, about the virus messages: I founded/run Ran When Parked and got the same messages a few months ago. I immediately wrote to Wordpress (company that hosts the site) and they said that some virus protection softwares will mistake the ads displayed by WordAds for viruses.

I just barely scanned the site with Kaspersky and it did not find any viruses. I am not asking anyone to take my word for that, but I want to make it clear that I am working hard to keep the site clean.

As for the other article, Technology Tell essentially rewrote my article but at least they linked back to RWP.

Back on the topic, the w123 plug-in hybrid was one of many alternative fuel prototypes built by Mercedes in the late 1970s/early 1980s. I believe another one ran on hydrogen, and actually wore a model-specific emblem on the trunk!

Mercedes also built an all-electric 190, if memory serves. I can dig up photos and post them here if folks are interested.

I just went on there and Norton (updated less than a week ago) did not raise a fuss. Those other offbeat 'Benzes sound neat! If you could dig up photos of those, I'm sure that many of us would enjoy them.
