Howdy,

There is a tiny lightbulb behind the light switch knob. I pulled off the knob, and bought a new light bulb. A tiny little sucker. Still, it does not work when I turn on the lights. Every single instrument light bulb works in my DD, except this one.

Any ideas ?

W123 Chassis Application, and in particular, body is a 240D 1983 flavor.

That light is for euro rear fog lights, which presumably your car does not have. The light would come on when you pull out the combo switch 2 clicks.

So, all of my interior control lights do work !!!!

If you search for it here, there is a writeup to add functionality of that switch-it's not terribly hard IIRC. You cannibalize a pin from another switch and wire it to whatever light setting you want.
