What is old MB in Bates Motel?
Has anyone been able to identify the old Benz in the new A&E show Bates Motel? I keep trying but no success yet.
Modern day prequel to Psycho....very good, very creepy. |
I think when I caught a glimpse of the badging in the opener, it's either a 350 or 450 SE (L?).
|
I believe its a green W115.....maybe a 280SE
|
I also think its a 280se....I think that is the only thing keeping me watching the show....it is very strange.....and I can't understand why it is set in modern times when psycho was filmed in 1960 and this is suppose to be prior to the movie psycho....but yet they are driving vintage cars.....I like being human better...
Here's some photos http://yvrshoots.com/wp-content/uplo...1/bm1.8855.jpg http://yvrshoots.com/2012/11/psycho-prequel-series-bates-motel-films-in-steveston-with-losts-nestor-carbonell.html http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8091/8...3406f680_b.jpg |
that's my next car...

"We can't tell anyone about him. We don't want people thinking of the bates motel as the murder motel"
|
I think that same car was used in "Where the Heart Is" filmed partly here in Austin.

My guess is a 69 SEL, and it's got the 4.5L motor according to the trunk badge...
W108/109 apparently... 67-72 models similar http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...own-300sel.jpg the 6.9 is a SCREAMER in that body... |
Here's a video of one that's a 72
|
Norma Bates Mercedes Benz
I want to say the car is a 1972 280 SE or SEL or even a 300 Sel. It does have the 4.5 L V8. So thats my thinking. Nice car .

What's peoples thoughts on this season? I am really disappointed...and I don't know if it will be back for a second season....luv the pot growers though! They sure are making fake pot plants look better :D

It's a 108 280SE or SEL 4.5

I've noticed in the last several episodes that the sound of a 617 diesel is used in the sound track. What was the reason to apply sound to a car that would not normally make any noise?
