Bent door?
OK, here is a little issue that has been bothering me since I replaced the door strikers on my 300SD. I really had to slam the driver's door to get it to close before I replaced and adjusted the striker. Now the door closes much much better but I have increased wind noise from the top half of the door while driving on the highway. Looking closely at the exterior of the door when closed, I see that it is flush with the passenger door from the mid section down but the upper half of the door past the alloy trim is sticking out past the B pillar by a good 1/4".
Could my door be bent? I noticed a dent in the door panel near the front fender but I thought that was because someone forced the door open too far and at the same time broke the check strap mount below the A pillar. I'm not sure how that would effect the upper half of the door, though. If the door is bent, what would be best resolution be? Replace the door with one from the junk yard? The car is going to be repainted soon anyway, so color is not a big concern. Anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Mine has a slight bent at the driver's door, I don't pay too much attention to it. If funding presents no objection, I'd get a new door. Otherwise, I'd just try and bend it in again with a long bar covered in cloth. Careful with damaging other parts of the door while you do this...

Try this. roll the window down, place a 2x4 between the door and body. push in on the top towards the body. probably won`t take too much.
So if it is the drivers door, push in on the top right. Charlie
