1980 300D transmission dip stick tube leak
I have had several of these early 300D automatic transmission that have had leaks from the dip stick tube. I replaced the washers and it seems to be leaking even worse. I think the surface on tube is not perfectly true. My guess is that it dents in from over torqueing. Is there a solution to this problem other than replacing the tube?

If you took your tube to a machine shop they might be willing to mill a bit off for you to make it true again.
Alternatively you might want to try a combination of metal washer and fibre washer or PTFE washer (probably gets too hot for rubber under that sort of compression). My point being something compressible in the joint might help.
