190D Auto vs Manual Inj. Pump Differences

Anyone know if the injection pump is different for the 602.911 auto v. Manual? I am starting a auto to 5 speed conversion on my 87 190D 2.5. Somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind I recall some dampening functions in ELR. Anyone know?? Thanks! Clip

I also remember this being discussed somewhere but haven't found it. From what I remember there was a "damper spring" that existed on the manual version IP but was not on the auto version. There was confusion whether one could purchase this spring and install it on an auto IP after a 5 speed conversion.

EDIT: Found the thread. Post #13 starts the discussion of an "anti-jerk valve" or "damper"
