Sure enough, I have the entire throttle linkage from the 240 in question, including the remaining throttle spring, and not only that, but a note from the me from several years ago who pulled this out, to the me of now telling myself that I will probably need this spring to get the throttle to return fully to idle in connection to the spring below the injection pump. oh well, at least I remember a little that I had something related to this, but I think ill start eating more memory foods.

just to complete this thread, here is the third large tension spring on the firewall-
again, this is unloaded so its hard to specifically state the tension as stretch was mentioning, but the stats are- 2mm thick material 17mm wide coil 48mm long coil and made of of 24 coils
