Need help with '89 300TE steering box
 

I have an '89 300TE. I ran a search and read the extensinve posts of adjusting this steering gear box via an allen bolt and lock nut. I believe part of my steering slop could be helped through such an adjustment.

Now the problem; on this car, I can find no such adjustment bolt. I posted this question on the Tech section but received no responses. I try the question here with some hesitancy since it is not a diesel; this section, however, had the most information regarding this adjustment in the results obtained via the search.

So my question is, where do I find the adjusting bolt on this model? I assumed most steering gear boxes were similar; are they? If this one is different, is there a different adjustment bolt? Or is it the same box but I am simply too blind to see the adjustment bolt? Help! (By the way, if it helps, my first MB was a '79 300SD and my second an '87 300SD (I miss the milage)) Thanks.

Can you get a picture of the top of your Steering Box. If you can then we'll be able to point it out (it should be smack on the top)
