w124 hole beneath in front windshield body lies adjacent to blower motor...

hole beneath in front windshield body lies adjacent to blower motor...
....
i found hole in the body beneath windshield Front of my w124 adjacent to blower motor both the side of the body....can any tell me function of its or their can be entering of foul through them also in interior compartment also ........pls do helpn..... i also attached photo of both sides......thanks..............

You have a RHD car where are you located.

btw if the holes are next to the blower motor cavity under the windscreen, one of them is taken up by the A/C evaporator expansion valve.

I know the electronics bay on a 124 is in that location. I think it might be for cooling of the electronics modules.

no sir ........its next to expansion valve also present both the side of the blower motor....and merc mechain tell me this is for air circulation flap hole and shown to some other mechain they its has no function. and useless close them.so tell me its for what...i have an rhd 1989 300d england version

The recirc flap on US cars is right above the blower motor itself and is very large - it covers the entire upper case of the blower motor assembly when its closed.

The placement of the arrow indicates to me that these holes are in the plastic parts under the windshield.
