The fellow you bought it off of should be able to get a title for it since it was abandoned on his property...

Some one else bought this car. I passed on it per the Tag Agency I use ...
Florida law on this is if the car didnt go to the next of kin it becomes property of the state of FL. If the car was left on "your" property then you call police to impound the car - and they put it up for a public auction - Whoever bids highest gets the car and title... ...Me I now have an old 240D for a project.

You can't just sell someone else's property when you don't have legal title stating you own it. I think the OP dodged a bullet or two OR THREE. Just buy stuff that's titled, legal, and from the person that ACTUALLY legally owns it. |
