Can someone remind me on the 603, which one of these is the temp gauge sensor?

So many to choose from. After engine swap, temp gauge isn't working.

That's an interesting pic, Jeremy. I have to ask --- what was the purpose?

Sender

Pic was from removal of #14 head on 1987 300D and installation of Sixto's #20 head. Wire to the sender is part of the glow plug cable. Will provide EPC reference when I get up.

[Edit] EPC shows the cable in #54 Electrical Equipment and Instruments, subset 120 Engine cable harness. I found the oil level sender in the Engine Housing / Oil Pan section of EPC but can't find the cable.[/Edit]

I don't recall the wire colors on my 91, but the plug for the temp sensor is in the same bundle as the glow plug harness, has a 2 pin connector, and has a 2 pin junction near the glow plug relay, and then continues into the cabin. The glow plug relay shares that temp sensor somehow with the temp gauge.

The single pin sensor on the water outlet is for the EDS computer.

The 2 pin sensor on the water outlet is for the climate control computer. If you have a 3L engine I believe you'll have a 3 pin temp switch.
