Hi Capt. W.

I was considering Desi then I found this place in Delray alot closer to me. Anyway didn't need anything done yet from a mechanic shoppe. The smoke disappeared shortly after adding some Startron Enzyme Treatment for Diesel fuel & the Lubro Moly injector cleaner - and the slow acceleration is probably now 90% there compared to maybe 50% after I replaced the broken throttle linkage bushing couple days ago. I dont think I can beat your wagon in a 2 block drag race yet but ...I will outrun most electric scooters.

I do need to get up to some pull it yards this week so if you are around let me know.

Do you have a picture of one of these or a link where it is sold ? You mean a hardwire plug going into the back of Becker antenna outlet that runs direct into an I-pod ?

Got my peach parts box Tuesday and now with the new air filter in and new injector hoses put in , plus the new throttle bushing last week my 240 is like a new vehicle compared to before I did these things. big thanks to you all.

The old hoses were seeping and the 4th one had an open leak. They all tore into pieces when I pulled them off the injectors.. I used to feel bad for the PO for selling me this car thinking the engine was blown and needed to be replaced, but now that I am seeing the level of attention they paid to this car I do not feel guilty much at all.

I think the fuel tank is filthy since I saw rust on the inside of the fuel cap and yesterday when I pulled out the sender unit it also had rust on the metal cover along with 30 years buildup of "sludge"... I am down to about 6-7 gallons of diesel and soon will empty the tank to clean the tank strainer and replace hoses. Then a diesel purge ( 2 cans! ) and replace both fuel filters.....

Any other suggestions along these lines appreciated still...!
