190D auto to manual swap: will my current speedometer be correct
I might be purchasing a parts car to do a transmission swap. It's a 1984 190D 2.2 5 speed (w/o overdrive). Question is, if I do the full swap, including the rear subframe so I have the diff that matches, will I need to modify my speedo so it is correct or can I use the one from the parts car? Or, what would it be like if I don't swap in the manual rear subframe and diff and just leave the factory diff in mine?

If you have the parts car, then use the speedometer from the car that the differential come from. Then all problems regarding the speedo are gone.
