wastegate hose leaking oil

The wastegate hose on my 85 300 SD appears to be leaking a small amount of oil. I tightened the hose clamp and this may stop the leak but is it normal for oil rather than gases to pass through the hose ? Does this indicate there is oil getting into my turbo which shouldn't be doing so ? My SD runs great but uses much 1 quart of oil every 250 to 300 miles and we have tried without success for a year to find the cause of the oil use. Compression is good.

My car does that too. I think its from the blowby that goes from the valve cover into the air cleaner. From there, the blowby that the oil separator can't handle probaly gets compressed by the turbo, then into the intake manifold, and the waste gate too. Just my guess.

Question

I wonder if this could be the cause of the mystery oil on my garage floor. I have a small stain under the passengers side front that is puzzling me because I'm not missing any fluids. My power steering was leaking but I handled that. I check it frequently and it hasn't lost one drop. My oil consumption is less then 1/2 qt. in 3,000 miles and my tranny hasn't changed. The only thing in the equation that is different is the blowby hose. I recently replaced that because the old one was leaking. I no longer have oil on the valve cover, maybe it's going somewhere else. It is only a small oil stain but??? I'm not exaggerating about the fact that my car doesn't use oil either. The level hasn't moved since my last oil change. So it's a mystery. Any Sherlock Holmeses out there have a clue?
