is there an 617 oil pan with a larger drain plug?
Seriously, maybe they are all like this but the size of the drain plug is almost comical it is so small. Is there a replacement drain pan with a larger plug?

I don't know but if you look on the other side of the pan it is just a nut welded in place. Quite easy for a handy chap like your good self to cut off and drill out and install your own oil plug star gate...

What is wrong with the size of the oil plug? Its big enough to drain the whole pan in barely 2 mins......

I have not read of a Pan with a different sized Drain Plug.
See Pic; as Strech said the threaded part is just a Square Nut weled to Sheet Metal Pan. Some of our past Members don't even bother with the drain Plug. They have equipment to suck the Oil out through the Dipstick Hole. My stock one drains out fast enough for Me. |
