Why get snarky? I missed whole in the sense of absolute failure, however, the whole system is PARTIALLY affected. Can we agree one bad plug does have an affect? How is that, better?

The things that Bosch makes are manufactured in a Factory like other Parts are. Even the best Companies Occasionally have some bad items. So I think one problem does not make all of their Glow Plugs Junk.

From what I have read on the Forums I guess somewhere around 95% of the Members are using Bosch Glow Plugs. So Bosch Glow plugs seem to have a good service record.

All of the Bosch Glow Plugs I have bought from the same Seller are made in France. They have been in My Car for about 5 Years with no issues (I pull them once in awhile and ream out the Carbon).

I have read of Bosch Glow Plugs being made in India; but have not read any of the Members coming across any those. But, it is not impossible the Mcparts places are selling those or some eBay sellers.

Well, I have seen others with issues. I certainly wouldn't run anything French, and especially anything Asian! Germany is known for high quality, and Beru glow plugs are still made in the Vaterland. Now, if I could exchange the bad glow plug for a French Bosch I would try again. However, without a warranty, not going to risk it. :P

I already bought bosch and they are on their way. Got them for $8 a piece from auto haus AZ. I got the rest of the plugs out with no problem at all. I ended up taking the injector lines off because i dropped the nut extracter in between the IP and the engine. When I stuck my magnet down there to get it the friggin magnet stuck to somthing down there and ripped off the little goose neck. I was able to get both out after removing the lines. I ended up buying a few tools at HFT to help me along. The "thru" ratchet was awesome, but it wouldn't fit in some spots so I got the thin ratchet too.Worked a heck of a lot better than my little wrench. I just couldn't get the leverage with it.http://www.harborfreight.com/media/c...mage_14243.jpg

Maybe some of the other Members can chime in and say where the recent Bosch Glow Plugs they bought were made. It could be that the German Made ones are scarce now.
I guess due to counterfeiting the last batch of Bosch Glow Plugs had what I think are Holographic Tags on the Box.

I bought a Steering Colum Lock Assembly from a Mercedes Dealer and it turns out is made in France (see pic). Neiman is cast into the Housing and Neiman/VALEO are parts of the same Company.

When I take mine out, I will look where they are made. For all I know, they aren't made in France! :o

Interesting! As I was falling asleep the other night, dawned on me Michelin tires are made in France. Duh! :o

So, Bosch might be just fine, and got the one bad apple manufactured before the summer holiday! :laugh2: So, will keep a better watch on how the Bosch do, as I try to keep an open mind. ;)
