I just got back from Florida and found my new five speed kit for this car. I'll open the crate tomorrow and look at it.

I have gotten discouraged on this car. I am buying a clone of it from Jim Freeh which will be everything this car is not. So this car will be either sold at a loss or kept for parts. Its a good runner and driver with a pile of niggling and bigger needs. I have called off the stick conversion unless someone wants to buy it that way for a price that makes sense for us both. Or I can put the automatic back in it and hold the stick conversion package for the "new" car.

For the sunroof get some 3M 2" wide electrical tape. It is a great temporary fix and *shouldn't* leave residue. Worked great for 5k on mine.

*EDIT* Just say you're canning it. Oh well, still tape it for the next guy

What all is wrong with the car? I've been longing for a W124 diesel...

It has rust repair, the sunroof is wonky and the ac controls don't work correctly. It runs and drives very sweetly though. I bought it planning to have a sound car which I would drive and not worry about details. The AC problem probably is what stymied me. Its ideal for someone needing a car with good economy and good comfort to drive a lot. It shifts very well too.

I dropped off my Montero plow truck today and picked up my 95. Damn, that 95 drives nicely!

Thanks Jim!

I had to put a new battery in the 95 today. Now I have to reprogram the radio. Is there any way to defuse this "theft" feature?
