300SD Clutch pedal set compatability

Hi all,
Been looking for a clutch pedal set & shift assembly for the 4 speed manual
I pulled recently to go in my 300SD. Are there other cars besides the 240
I should be looking at?

Thanks,
Jeff

besides the 240 any 123 bodied car might have a stick if a euro spec originally. I understand they work with minor mods in the SD.

I know with the W123 peddle assembly, the difference between the auto and the manual assembly is the shaft the peddles hang on. the shaft is longer for the Clutch peddle.

The pictures below will show what I mean.

The aluminum mount is the same on the two.

maybe the peddles can be swapped over to the 126 mount bracket? I know the mount bracket is different on the 126. then you wouldn`t have to modify the mount bracket.

This is just a thought.

I think Sirnik84 modified a 123 assembly to work in his 84 300SD 4-spd swap.

Charlie,
Thanks for the pix.
Yes, I need to get a hold of Sir Nik and go see his set up.
I went through his long thread, but seeing it in person is so much better.

That is one long thread you pulled that from on BenzWorld.
Those are definitely different.
So what car did that come out of? 350?
Which 126 models also came as manuals?

Seems like I read a 280SE used it. not sure, don`t hold me to it.
I have never seen a W126 manual in the yards.

That was easy to find. Go to Google and do a search on what you want, then click on Images and scroll down through the pictures till you find it, or see something interesting.

So do you think it would be possible to use the peddle mount in your car and use the longer shaft the peddles hang on from a 123? then maybe use the W123 Clutch peddle on your 126 mount. just a thought.

Yea, I'll go to Nik's and see his set up.
I'm going out of town for a week and will check with him
when I get back.
I've still got my 2.88 diff to put in. And my perfect dash.
And now my manual 4 speed...........
I've got more parts on my shelf than I have time on my hands:P
