ac compressor on 80sd questions
 

my one year old compressor began making high whine noises,i took off belt,assuming compressor is shot.my question is ;if i replace compressor,do i need to replace dryer and any other parts( hi-lo pressure switches) as they were just replaced last year with new compressor.if i connect new compressor,is the next step to get system evacuated and filled?

If you make the swap quickly and allow little opportunity for air to remain in the system, I would say just re-use the old drier. Evacuate for at least 30 minutes and recharge.
