Try this...

1) If you need a new seal, I have a brand new one I can sell you. Mine's for a W124 model.

2) If your current seal is leaking and isn't in too bad of shape, you could try Prestone Power Steering fluid with Stop Leak. Simply get a Q-tip or something, and smear it on fairly well. The fluid helps to rejuvenate the rubber in a few days, and works ...MIRACLES. I bought my car 7 years ago, had a leak with the power steering box, put this stuff in, and it hasn't leaked yet.

I mean, if your current seal is all completely dryrotted, forget it. But if it's just slightly dryrotted, this stuff surely might help. If you want to know the exact name of it, zip me an email, not a private message because I'm not on the forum all the time. The reason I have a seal for sale is because my seal was dryrotted and shrinking in one corner, causing it to come forward, preventing the sunroof from opening properly. I bought a replacement seal and was going to put it on, but thought I'd try the Prestone stuff first. It didn't make the seal BIGGER, but over time with a few hits of Prestone on that corner, and keeping the roof closed for a few months except for lubing it up, my seal has limbered up (is not dryrotted in that area anymore), and so it tends to stay in place.

I don't think lubing the seals will fix a rusted out drain pan...

REAL electrical tape (from a local electrician's supply house). It should come in a 1" or 1.5" variety.

I used it to cover my sunroof all winter (paranoid about the seal). Help up fine to daily UV exposure, highway speeds with no deflector, and all that jazz for at least the 6 months I had it taped shut. If it starts to peel for some reason, just slap on some more.
