Scangauge2 through a OBD11 Adapter

Is anyone running a scangauge11 display via the Mercedes 38 pin round connection with an OBD11 adapter?

Im looking at picking up one of the scan gauges but have heard you cant get all the functions when running it through an adapter. Does anyone know if this is true or is running one like this that can comment.

I will be looking to run it on a W210 Euro spec
