trying to sort the confusion out engine models

OK lets see if this is correct .

My 86sdl will be a om603 6cyl
the 81 sd will be a om617 5 cyl or is it om602
A 85 190d will be a 2,2 ? or a om601 non turbo . and a om602 will fit in it's place?

just new to the mb line up
And trying to get it all sorted out .

the SDL should be an OM 603 6 cylinder turbocharged aluminum head engine

an 80SD will have the OM 617.950 5 cylinder turbocharged cast iron head engine

all 123 body diesel 300D/CD/TD built before 81 will have the OM 617.912 5 cylinder non turbocharged cast iron head engine

an 81SD will have the OM 617.951 5 cylinder turbocharged cast iron head engine

an 81300D will have the OM 617.912 5 cylinder non turbocharged cast iron head engine

an 81300TD(wagon)will have the OM 617.952 5 cylinder Turbocharged cast iron head engine

all USA spec 123 bodies 300series built from 82-85 will also have this engine. in the diesel models that is...

Euro spec engines will most likely have the 617.912 but wagons often have the turbo variant still... maybe...

all years of the 123 body 240D have the OM 616.912 non turbo cast iron head 4 cylinder

in 84 the 2.2 OM 601 4 cylinder aluminum head engine came out, I am not sure it was still there in 85, it may have been upgraded to the 2.5 OM 602, I know the turbocharged OM602 was at least available in the 87 190D
