i guess i am the opposite extreme, Mr Paranoia himself.....
Well, my O.C.D. (do have paperwork ) also makes me paranoid, but Rollguy has sent a lot of stuff and has a VERY good reputation, so seemed like it would work.

Well I like discussing who isn't and is crazy, makes me feel better that I am not the only psycho....lurking on the forum I disagree, I am pretty hated....
Hmmmm, one of those folks. I almost got arrested because of my disability, so no judging, just intrigued.

I can't have alcohol as can't handle it. I was pressured into it and almost had an issue. So, instead I just tell folks the truth and if my friend, will not pressure me.

Well, there is a point! As I try to tell folks, we all have some disability/ability. Especially with big drug companies and the Federal Government going after folks! So many boys are put on pills because they are acting like boys. Anyway...

"They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-haaa
To the funny farm. Where life is beautiful all the time and I'll be
happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats and they're
coming to take me away, ha-haaa!!!!!" One of my favorite songs!

Nope, I just mentioned because of my Autism I miss the obvious a lot of times. I was just diagnosed a few years ago, so just realized how many social rules there are! I keep wanting just to say to society shove it and either deal with my uniqueness or leave me alone. Alas though, not the best approach. Especially since I too have a lot to offer, especially in my field. I actually had a gal almost out of the blue say that my designs were different in that they weren't just following the rules, marching along. Even went to say I was going to go far. Think she was getting at the fact I have been told me and my designs are very intellectual. Maybe that is part of the reason folks can't reply to my threads/posts?
i have the same condition and let me tell you, it is a very hard struggle, every single day......also deal with constant episodes of PTSD from things that were done to me as an adolescent, so believe me, i can understand your frustrations possibly better than you can !! i have been obsessive over Benz's for over a decade now, even though for a few years i quit participating in any online Benz activities, due to being discouraged by being given a hard time by a bunch of imbeciles, and then being accused of not knowing what i was talking about, so many times, that i just said, in the classic Cartmann style "screw you guys, i'm going home!" and just stopped logging in one day.....for 4 years !!

good to meet you....and to the other people reading this, people with High Functioning Autism have absolutely no capacity for "BS", and are extremely blunt, so if it ever seems we are being rude, it isnt on purpouse......we love FACTS and tend to be information junkies (thus lurking late night on classic Mercedes-Benz forums, between studying other things, while enjoying a pipe and the finest electronic music ) and may just know a whole lot about whatever subject it is we are talking about.....

The safe way to mail cash is via registered mail. Declare the contents to be cash, and insure for the proper value. USPS will insure for up to $25K. Request a return receipt, and you will have proof that the money arrived. This is the only sure way to do this, and it adds significant cost to the transaction.
Good point, registered mail, return receipt, everything you do when you pay a speeding ticket via mail.

USPS website should have all the fees listed. Defintiely the only way to get reimbursed for cash though, otherwise anyone could claim whatever amount was in whatever envelope.

If you want to avoid the fees, hide it. How did you originally send this money? Was it wrapped on something? Security envelope? Large denomination so as to be thin?

Only a few times, certainly less than 10. Nothing like paying the ticket, and 3 months later getting a letter telling you your license is now suspended in such and such state. Even when you have all the evidence, still a massive heap to untangle.

So, would Fedex be better?

Wait a minute, why did you get the letter back? Did you forget the stamp?

Ps. You're warning will put rollguy out of business.

Wow! Another member! Maybe we should meet sometime. I have a dream of driving to the Everglades and driving through the pan handle. Maybe even see the Ripply Museum. This summer is shot and winter break isn't enough time to save bread.

I too struggle especially with people. If I could have the entire world be those on the spectrum and animals, I be happy! Animals are way better than people, especially in there simplicity. For instance, two dogs will get in a fight and then later on they are fine with each other; might not be friends but at least don't fight again like humans.

I actually left the Sandy Eggo Volkswagen gouppes because of similar reasons. I decided if folks are truly my friend, they will be kind enough to guide me and/or just tolerate.

I laughed so hard when I read this! We can also seem rude as don't have Theory of Mind (at least I don't and know others) and social rules have to be taught. We can't read facial expressions or voice inflection, so clueless on most if not all emotions unless VERY obvious. Part of the reason why it is so hard to learn and why we can't express empathy or appropriate expressions/feelings (ex. smiling when tense). We can learn a mechanical process that comes close, as now when I see crying, I pull up the card file, and it says hug. So, I go over and give a hug. Oh, and on that. Don't EVER touch me without warning! It is painful/uncomfortable and can be the other way. I am working on it, as if someone asks, I am now fine. I have always liked being close to other humans and like females friendly touches (dealt with a pat the other day). Oh, and don't like eye contact which is a human desire. With animals, it is a thread. Temple Grandin suggests A.S.D. folks are closer to animals and thus why we can understand them. I could go on...

I can't smoke, but I do enjoy music and Tram turned me onto the short wave radio. Still want to get a proper antenna, consisting of 500 feet of wire. Also do have unique hobbies and seeking answers. Nothing is inappropriate for us...

I walked up to the desk and paid postage. I got back the letter stamped "No Contents". It is torn and badly mauled. Not sure why I got it back.

Oh sweet Jesus, another one...I think we need our own section on the forum now

PTSD is a horrible issue, you always hear about soldiers coming back with this condition, and you never think other people can get it. Then so many people her PTSD and automatically assume your a vet, they can't comprehend it.

I am so with you on that page...I just want to get away to a cabin in the woods, my sound system back....and away from people....just give me mj, music and my car....and I will never bother people again

I am sick of being around people, I get the crazy eye stare even worse, because people in the neighborhood always see me tinkering on the car....and think there is some serious stuff up with me...lord sorry, I like to work on mechanical stuff and fix things....so sorry I am not all for sitting on the couch for hours in end playing some game system...

Or, at least our own gruppe! The Diesel Funny Farm! Where we sit around fiddling with our Mercedes! (Rather than out toes.)

Careful what you say! I deleted so you can. Got to outsmart the bacon.

You forgot the dog, man's best friend! Got to have some kind of companion so as not commit the worse act. I seriously want to get to a point where I can do my designs for a lease a week all by myself or with a few other A.S.D. folks. Have to for five years first to get my license.

There is a reason why I work in the back yard! Though, my neighbor watches over the wall and comments how I need to clean up the back yard. He doesn't understand that keeping the Mercedes on the road to get to University is more important!

"if you send money through the mail chances are it will never arrive the post office has lights to detect money in envelopes DONT RISK IT = /"
From the site below:
Is it illegal to send money through the mail - Ask Community

From another site
No. It's just risky. How do you feel about the post office?
guess what they just put into effect a hiring ban and tried to get current employees to retire early so this may be the best time to send cash through the mail (at least from a philanthropic point of view anyhow)

Interesting! So "No Contents" means that they took it as illegal. Nice! Got to love the government!

That sounds like a plan! Let's get enough people on board and look for a nice property to rent.....somewhere hidden...so when we decide to go crazy, strip to our birthday suit and run around screaming no one can complain plus there must be a nice large covered spot so we tinker with our toys out of the elements..

True, I honestly think my phone calls and emails are still being read...scary to think that...every now and then I get a message saying my account was logged into...

I need someone or thing to carry on a conversation with....I will opt for a parrot, that way it doesn't seem so crazy when I argue with myself
