Need New Rear Springs

Yes, my rear end is sagging!
Anyone purchased and installed new "heavy duty" rear springs
On a 1995 E300D ?
Any helpful suggestions are welcome? No butt tuck jokes allowed...unless they are really funny.

Springs since I seem to always have a bunch of tools in the trunk.

I'd stick with stock really. They're usually pretty heavy duty to begin with.

I've not priced them out on my E300 yet, but I know on my w123 the rear springs were $60 each from the dealer. Lesjofers wanted just a little more than that plus shipping.

Alright, so a bit of research and my first guess was right.

Mercedes gives you a chart for springs and spring pads.

You have a 95 E300 so you start with 124.131 with 30 points.

Then points as shown for accessories.

The springs are the same for each point count. 124 324 11 04
[Different springs for self-leveling and for sport suspension]

Then you have two choices for pads:

33-40----------------201 325 11 44------------$10.50

It looks like the only adjustment you have is really the pad you use.


And I did a quick price check on the springs.

I believe the Lesjofers springs might be slightly stiffer than spec calls for. At least this is what my mechanic told me..

I was given the wrong part # 5 times by 4 different part houses and the dealer was almost the worst! $175 @ spring plus $10.50 @ pad
I'm still looking for heaviest duty spring and thickest pad at a reasonable price.

By best guess:

124 324 11 04 is heaviest duty spring.
201 325 11 44 is thickest pad.

The spring is Lesjofors part number 4256803. Price is $46/each.
Pads are MB, $10 each.

Since Pelican doesn't have them, check out auto haus az. They have the springs and pads.

will order pads tomorrow...$8.50 @
building spring compressor now...seems like a fun challenge.
btw, my cruise control doesn't work...before I try another unit (i have 3, but they could all be bad)
I heard that "re soldering the connections is a possible fix...do you agree?
