W115 Power Steering belt.

My '72 220d decided to eat the alternator/fan belt last night (it HAD to be the one in the back), and I was wondering if anyone knows any tricks to getting the PS belt off. I just replaced it perhaps a month ago (I had to get it on as much as possible and bump the starter to get it to go), and I'd rather not cut it, but I'm at my wit's end. According to what little I can find, this one is a complete nightmare and there's no real answers out there with either no responses or vows to drive without power steering if it ever broke. Not so encouraging.

I've loosened the front and rear adjustment bolts and loosened the belt as much as I can, but it's still not enough to clear the belt. I've heard of some mystery 14mm bolt on the side of the pump that allows it to move more, but I can't see how that would help (the adjustment holes on the other two bolts are pretty small) and it doesn't seem to exist on my car. ANY thoughts or ideas would be welcome.

Thanks,
Brandon

And you can't get a crowbar into there to release the tension?
