What differential fluid for 95 E300D with ASD?

The FSM specifies that, for vehicles with limited slip differentials (which I understand ASD is a version of), "special hypoid gear oil SAE 90" should be used. Would Mobil 1 75w90 nonetheless be a good choice? Or should I use something else? This is for the 95 E300D.

I wouldn't use Mobil 1 75 w90. I would use MB spec 235.7, 85 w90.
Was part number 001 989 17 03 but now 001 989 33 03.

But part number 001 989 33 03 also references 75 w85. I would choose 85 w90 though.

It seems that the MB fluid is NLA. Should a standard fluid with LS additive be used?

I'd venture that a standard fluid with LS additive would be fine.

What do the W124 / W126 "standard" limited slip differentials call for?

Owners manual for the w140 says something pretty dumbed down and benign. As I recall it merely asks for a 90W gear oil suitable for limited ship differentials.
