interior peices are the tougest parts to find for the coupe. That drivers seat looks pretty bad and that driverside carpet looks horrid. both hard to find pieces. i think that the kick pannels would be the same as any other w123. The rest of the interior looks dirty but decent. Limited view of the weatherstriping looks to be ok.
Outside looks to be in pretty good shape from the one picture. Those wheels do look kinda whack but if the are bigger than 14'' you'll deffinitely have an eaisieer time finding tires. Can of starting fluid on the floor... not a good omen.

If I am not mistaken, you said the driver front and passenger rear windows don't work. They both may be on the same fuse, so you could just have a bad fuse.

CD is 2k and 300D is 800 bucks?
pretty reasonable, interested to see what the CD looks like with an in person viewing, but this is becoming more and more a "buy both" situation from my perspective.

I agree. It looks pretty bad and I'm looking at the ad on my phone.

The CD would have more interchangeable parts with the 240D he already has. No need to stock up on new parts.

X2 or 3 or 10 or whatever it is up to. I have the exact same car (year and color) with ZERO rust for sale. It needs an engine and trans, but the body is great- $400 However, it is on the other side of the country from you, so that won't help.

He's got another thread going for the CD. He also looked at a 240, and it is the worst of the 3. The 124 is looking better and better!

No big complaints other than disappointed, and the traffic s***ed both ways on the Palmetto & I95 !!

There's a guy in Council Bluffs, Iowa that owns a local Japanese manufactured new car (Nissan?) dealership that routinely shows-up @ car show night in West Omaha driving stunning examples of '60s Muscle Cars that are dropped right in his lap by the elderly or families of, that are looking to trade-in their relics on a new Japanese car. Buddy of mine had his heart set on a 1963 split window Corvette in nearly perfect condition. He flew and drove all over the U.S. with $75K in cash trying to find one not bogusized - he finally gave up and bought a silly new Mercury. Ha! The rest of us have to schlub around the country looking for our cars. I've been disappointed too, on even high-end, pricey, low-miled stuff with scratches when you get there, for something that is represented as a CPO-quality MB! |

The 2-3k range gets you an incredibly variety of quality and choice on an old MB.
you get the jabroni who want to sell you something with an apple tree growing through the center of the floor and 390 thousand miles on it which hasnt run it 15 years for 2500 bucks because its "rare", and the guy who wants his car to go to a good new owner who might sell a stellar car with no rust, good interior, and decent miles for 1800 bucks. I think its a fun range to shop in, you can really find something awesome, and you can really meet some characters who have no idea what a car might actually be worth and they are off by thousands in the + direction.
