I send them out marked which side they were installed on when I pulled them. many install them on opposite sides to put load on the lessor wear surfaces.
that SUCKS that they wore out on you... a year eh? HMM... I don't check my email NEARLY as often as I check the PM's here. sorry if I missed yours. I may send you a shipping label to send them to me so I can look them over and see what is what. do you remember which lube you chose for the axles? grease or synthetic gear oil? MB uses Gear oil, and I recommend upgrading that to synthetic heavier weight oil, but some members have wanted GREASE instead. I'd love to know which you chose...

I can't remember oil/grease, one has leaked a little from a nick in the boot and it seems pretty thin. I actually ordered them from you almost 2 yrs ago, but took a while to get them in the car.
Honestly, can't remember seeing L or R and know I didn't install them with any determination in that regards. I just wanted to get the damn car home.

I REMOVED a clamp, slid a boot back and looked with a flashlight, could see no signs of wear on the bearing raceway. Now just replace lube, get clamps and done. Thanks again from your help..... I'm quite glad not to have to deal with reboot especially after serial sets of trashy quality reman and "new" ones. Many thanks. |
