95 E300D driveshaft

Trying to locate a rebuilt driveshaft for my 95 E300D. U-joint is worn and there appears to be a little wear in the splines as well. Going to replace differential mount bushings, so this is the time to do it.

Driveline Service of Portland doesn't have a listing for this car and can't tell me if they have a driveshaft. Does anyone know if there is a difference in driveshafts from my 95 and an earlier 124?

Also, if you know of a good driveline shop on the East Coast, I'd like to hear about it.

Driveline of Portland sent me a fantastic shaft for the '85 wagon. I'm sure they can set you up with a nice one for the w124. BMW & Mercedes Benz - Automotive Parts - Products - Driveshafts.com

Also a place here in Texas that I have yet to use: Mercedes Replacment driveshafts

Thanks for the feedback on Portland , I've heard good things about them.

They are asking me for weld to weld measurements on my existing driveshaft sections so they can verify fitment. Was hoping to avoid getting under the car, pulling exhaust shields, etc. just to get those numbers....

Has anyone installed a rebuilt driveshaft in a 95? Can't imagine that I'm blazing a trail here, I'm only at 282k, many of you have done more miles than that.

A d shaft from a 2.5 turbo will fit,the engine no doubt shorter 1 hole than the 6 cylinder you have, but it sits exactly at the same location if measured from the rear, the transmission is also a 722.4 which is also shared with the 95 E300D.
