1991 300D 962.961 vacuum circuit problems
Hey,
I am swapping a 1991 2.5L diesel into a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and nearing the end...in more ways than one. I believe that I have stepped down the motor from electrical to mechanical based on helpful posts from this site. So, I want to have the engine stop when I turn off the key. I have read about om617 engines using the eng. overload valve. I would like to do the same. Below I have a photo with what I hope is the 962's overload valve. 1. Do I plug the outlets from the alda to the "Charge Air distributor"? 2. If I connect one end of the tubing to the overload from the "Stop Unit" where should I connect the opposite? 3. With power on the circuit should be closed to run/open to stop? 4. Should I close off or loop all the auto trans vacuum lines since I am running a manual. I am going off of the pdf for a vacuum line routing on a 602.96 w/ manual from my MB manual. Thanks :confused:http://i1307.photobucket.com/albums/...ps50bc1a50.jpg http://i1307.photobucket.com/albums/...psa42d8c2e.jpg http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/attachments/diesel-discussion/110244d1363538504-installation-om602-961-into-tn-van-0500-m.-vacuum-circuit-diagrams-engine-602.96-m_t-model-124-201-standard-.pdf |

Thanks pwogaman. I have the PDF for the circuit. I am just trying to make certain about the shut-off, auto trans, etc. I want to reduce the vacuum leaks and cranking before I restart this motor.
