Another EGR delete question
Ive just removed the intake manifold on my w210 e300td for a clean, a while back I did the egr disable mod with the resistor and diode. Can anyone tell me if I make a blanking plate up for the egr pipe will the car go into limp home mode, am I best to put it all back together?

His '97 is Euro, turbo like our '98-'99. To answer your question, once you do the electronics part of the EGR delete, you can do whatever you want to with the rest of the stuff without setting a code. I blocked off the tube at the exhaust manifold and removed the insulated pipe from the manifold to the mixing chamber. I also blocked the vacuum ports with caps to make everything look legit.
