85 300D running great

I haven't posted on here in 6 months, I lurk but seldom post anymore. My car is running great. I have learned a lot about the car from members on this forum.

It is an 85 300D that has somewhat over 200,000 miles on it.

Basically when we got it last year a lot of things had been neglected. It doesn't use oil. No drips.

I took off the Alda and EGR, run a boost gauge. I have the max boost set at 10psi right now. At 65 mph it gets right at 30mpg for the tank.

That is great to have good running car w/o any problems, that is what we want.

I see what your problem really is. you only own one W123. you need a few more in your driveway. then we will see you more often.

Ditto! You need to have two or more MB Diesels to be considered sane

Actually thought you got locked up after breaking 100mph on the highway awhile back! Guess they missed you. Welcome back!

Nice to hear back from you! Yeah, you need a fleet to be truly happy! Try an SD. They are a bit more refined than the W123 and I personally find mine to be very comfortable; that is when they are in good condition. Enjoy you 300D, though. Every Mercedes is an experience to drive.
