Antenna Mast Installation
Replaced antenna mast on one of my cars. Nylon cable fed in fine but mast only goes halfway down. It's POSSIBLE I got the wrong mast. It's also possible that a section of cable from old mast is stuck in antenna. No really interest in taking things apart. If I incrementally shorten the cable and reinstall, would that be one way to get it to go all the way in?

As long as you don't want the antenna to go up all the way.

Don't cut a new mast cable. Just pop the cover off the antenna motor and remove the old piece. It is worth doing the job correctly.
