New W123, missing a rod, what is it???
1 Attachment(s)
Just got this '82 300CD. There's a ball on an arm on both engine side and on this dingus at the front driver side of engine, but no rod between them.
What's the dingus....and what's the rod called...and does anyone have one....any idea why it would be removed? |
Answer
Cruise control actuator rod.
It was probably removed because the cruise control was (when used) surging hard. Some people call it porpoising, and it is disturbing to experience. Generally this indicates a bad actuator that has damaged the amplifier module. . |
Wow you need new fuel filters, a updated primer pump and injectors return line...add that to the list :D

I have a new primary filter to install. I guess I need to do some searching on primer pump and injector return line. Anyone have a cruise control rod :). |
