350 sdl burned up fuse
Give the old dimwitted guy a hand. The big metal strip fuse in front of the power brake vacuum diaphragm. I replaced this once. Driving down the road today smelt burning insulation. Lifted the hood and the inline fuse I put in several years ago is burned to a crisp. What is this a fuse to and what is the amperage. I should remember but, alas, Alzheimer's strikes again. Thanks

Seems I read in a thread a couple years back, that MB added this fuse as an up grade I think for the Blower. Did you have the Blower on?
You probably did and the AC too looking at where you live. I don`t have this model car, so just a guess. Charlie

That strip fuse is for the climate control system / blower.
