I'd take a soleless, boring car that is reliable over a car with a lot of sole but keeps breaking down and leave me stranded. lol

Coming on this forum every now and then and reading threads like this, I am so glad I got rid of mine! All of these negative posts just reinforce the decision I made.
Its like "Romper Room" on here. Congrats on your new ride digieditny.

congratulations
Jaime,
Good luck with the new car, you'll be back. Its only a matter of time story time: returning home from a rare night out at the movies, there was a chevy volt w/tags that read "volt" leaving the lot at the same time. Being the guy that I am, I had to get in front of him so he could see my "nospark" tags. To my surprise, I found it difficult to pass him w/o putting the pedal down more than I expected. Don't take stuff from anyone and enjoy the trouble-free ride

Hybrids are great. One of Wife's many cars is a Volt. 42mpgs on pure petrol, range of 32 - 44 on electric. It drives nicely, handles like a sports sedan.
I just don't like how the Prius' drives or sits at all, nothing to do with new over old or any of that. Wife's already after me to finish making this 300CD nice and get something sportier, she think's I've old manned before my time. Who knows, I may move it and get an SL. The SLK we have is a garage queen and really hers, the only two cars that are mine are the Saab 'vert and this 300CD. Quote:

I lived in a congested city for years. In fact I grew up in one. If one has no real place to work on their own car. Especially if it is older car they can become impractical .
Also it is practical to own many vehicles when residing in rural areas. If a car is problematic or for many other reasons I just use another one. A decision like yours has nothing to do with testicles. It has more to do with realities .We were pretty well forced ourselves to own and use new cars when we resided in the large city. To add insult to injury then they cost about 1,600-2000 dollars a unit and after about three years the car and a cheque for around 600 put you into another new one. Now we pay ten times that for low end new cars. In fact when we left and knowing I would need a truck for my business. I found a nice older 68 chev panel truck with almost no miles on it and used it to move additional items here during the move. Kept that truck for perhaps five years of heavy use. Perhaps depreciating along the time in value at less than 100.00 per year. |
